How do I care for newborn baby's hair and for later on? (1/2 Native American/ 1/2 African American mixed)?
Simple, with the least amount of chemicals as possible, using too many products on a newborn's hair can make things a lot worse than before. You should try to restrain from using a comb right now. It's better to use a brush and maybe some lite castor oil. A great product that I've used from day one is this Kids Organics Creme it is really light on the hair and detangles really well which leaves my daughter's hair feeling really soft anf manageable you will love it!

My babies (now men) are black and native american too. One has hair like me and the other is curly.
What I did was just wiped their heads with a warm damp baby towel and then later on I would put pure coconut oil on. They have not had dry hair ever. You do not need to wash a newborn's head with soap. Save that for later on at about six months. Coconut oil should be in the black hair care section at the store. Very inexpensive. Just take a very small amount, rub your hands together and then smooth it on. Great for baby's and your skin too.
And for you: take 2 tbls. apple cider vinegar in a glass of water 2-3 x day to get your vitamins and minerals. ACV had 93 of them. You will feel energetic and will cure any depression that you may have. Email me if you have anymore questions. I know how hard it is to take care of a baby and need advice.
