i dont want a weave, i like my natural hair, i just wish that it would grow. Ive been using doogro for a month, i put it on my hair when its in braids or twists, and when i took it out to shampoo it felt thicker than ever, but do yall get the same results? do i have to trim my ends to get new growth, b/c i really dont want to. personally i have never seen a african-american with hair past her shoulders, and it often seems thin and broken around the edges, do any of yall have african-american hair that goes beyond your shoulders and if so how long did it take you to get it that long? thankyou

Take a look at this sisters forum ,they all have long hair and they made it through patience and care .

First of all ,AVOID products with Mineral oil or Parffinum on your scalp as it clogs your pores,wrap your hair as cellophane and wont let the scalp breath slowing hair growth ,Use ALWAYS products that contain Water as first ingredient ,your hair need Moisture and Moisture is Water .Oil coat your hair sealing moisture into the hairshaft.

Use a shampoo for dry hair .

Avoid HEAT ! Heat is your first enemy ,african american hair are way more fragile than caucasian or asian hair ,treat it like silk .Use Rollers to style your hair applying a dab of setting lotion and either let it airdry or set a hairdryier at cool temperature to dry .

Have a Deep Conditioning treatment ATLEAST once a Week .Use a product that containts nourishing ingredients such as natural oils or vitamins .

Take vitamin supplement on a daily basis and DRINK PLENTY OF WATER ! it stimulates the blood circulation ,hydrates your hair and detoxify your body.

AVOID CHEMICALS as much as u can .If u relax do it every 8 to 10 weeks,if u do it more frequently you might as well go shopping for wigs .U can have beautiful hair either relaxed or natural .

USE PROTECTIVE STYLES .Weaving can be one ,however its harsh on the hairline and could cause scalp psiorasis and fungus .

TRIM YOUR SPLIT ENDS .Split ends could split all the way up your hair shaft causing even more damage and obligate u to cut more inches off .Cut the damaged ends and have a fresh start .

WASH YOUR HAIR ATLEAST ONCE A WEEK .WATER IS MOISTURE . The less you wash the dryier your hair will be .
