Because those who are stirring up controversy are mad because they can't get those styles with the type of hair they have. I personally think that all the variation of choices African Americans have when it comes to styling there hair are beautiful and unique.

Look anyone can get coarse hair! It's not a black thing nor a white thing, it's just a hair thing...okay. Get a reality check! what ever! your the one stiring it up! I can press and curl and put relaxers in anyones hair! I can wrap braid twist and cornrow and put dreadlocks in anyones hair and it doesn't matter what race you are! there are no politics when it comes to hair! You can look like what ever you want to!

i wear my hair how ever i want personaly regardles of what people think i mean just cuz i weare a weave dont mean i think im white i just like the way it look although i do applaude the sistas that go au natural it just aint for me

I think we have it pretty good. I'm Puertorican and my hair is nappy.

If I want my hair curly, I relaxe it, If I want it straight I flat iron it and if I want a fro I let it be. I can put extensions on my hair, a wig or not. It's excepted everywhere that we have short hair one day long the other. Nappy one day, straight the other.

We are the only ones that get away with that. I love my napps. We can do whatever we want to them. Choose something you like and forget about people. If you don't like your hair... find a fix. Be happy!
