My hair is hard???

I use silk elements shampoo and conditioner (the conditioner has mineral oil in it)

And well even before I was using that my hair has been so hard. like when the little hairs come out i can feel them and they are so hard. not hard like gel but just hard. They aren't soft or anything they are hard!

Also wehn i shake my head the hair doesnt sway, and come back down, sometimes it just goes up and doesnt go back down it just stays there. until i gte a brush and brush it back down. and its probaly because my hair is so hard, or w/e.

Anything to help me and i dont wear gel btw. and i have african american hair also.

I buy all my things from sally's beauty supply store and walmart btw, and prices arent really a problem

I'd say change shampoo and conditioner. Something from Dove maybe?

Well, African American hair tends to be "hard" as you described it...you could try a milk rinse home remedy, beaucse milk is a hair softener. You could also put in a little honey into the mix, that is amazing for softness.

A product you might want to use is Garnier Fructies Sleek %26amp; Shine Anti-Humidity Smooting Milk. First time I dried it, it made my hair SWOOOOO soft!

Maybe its your water? When the water in showers is hard, it has high mineral content. To test, try the lather test. In soft water, soap lathers very easily, but in hard water it doesnt. Hard water leaves hair rougher and hard to untangle. You should get your water tested just in case. If this is not the problem, i suggest buying a weekly deep conditioning treatment, or going to the salon and getting a hot oil treatment every month.

So you have black girl hair? well if you do like me I would try that new stuff called Garnier Fructis. It comes in shampoo, conditioner,gel,hair spray,etc. I use it for my hair and it is awsome.It makes my hair feel totally soft

try baby oil or vasiline im telling u it works sounds wierd but works after you take a bath blow dry it it should work and if nothing works go to super cuts or something and have them feel your hair and explain your problem to them
