i staiten my hair every day and sometimes curl it my hair ends up being dry and frizzy how to i keep my hair heathy but still keep it the way i want?????? i also really like those sexy beachy hair do but how do i do that with tight curl hair like i mean i have african american hair that starts right at my roots at the crown of my hair. Try using the John Freda line of products you can get it at any store or drug store... they are like 6 bucks a product and they help your hair look wonderful... I have uber curly hair as well... but I dont straighten I love them curls :)

Have you tried the "Paul Mitchell Super Skinny" hair oil? I have super-curly hair but I use a little of this and it goes pin strainght. (Of course I use an iron too, but this stuff helps sooo much!)

or John Frieda Gloss Serum Extra Strength it works good just put it on after you shower and your hair still damp

if your hair is really really dry dont be afraid to use more than enough

Most importantly STOP STRAIGHTENING IT. I know, nobody likes their hair the way it is, but trying to make it be something it's not is just going to make it less and less healthy. Use lots of conditioner and try just letting it do what it wants.

Air-dry instead of blow-dry. Go to a salon and ask for a relaxer (only if you don't dye your hair though, the chemicals don't get along well).

Hi there well i can certainly relate to your question as I too have very naturally curly and frizzy hair and on top of that it,s thick, I'm always told how lucky I am as I'm sure you are too . Well Ive done the straightening thing and realized quickly that if I still wanted hair I wouldn't be able to keep doing it. but I have fairly long hair and after conditioning and lightly towel drying I apply a small amount of conditioner again and comb through and leave it in plus I apply an anti frizz serum I use Paten's it works the best and is affordable . or you can always look into that salon straightening which really turns out well and lasts up to six months but is very costly , hope this helps you it works for me but with the curls , on the bright side I'm told my curls attracts the guys, good luck let me know if you try it and what you think.

could you put a little baby oil in your hair? would that help when its wet and then twist the curls slightly to define them and then air dry your hair

I found some hair stuff that works really good on my daughters hair it called "just straight" by miss claroil its about $4.00 for the shampoo and $3.40 for the conditioner

first, quit trying to fight with nature. if you straighten your hair daily, it will respond by frizzing and drying out. if you treat it kindly, condition it, moisturize it, and stop torturing it with a straightener, it might surprise you by being beautiful. :)

you can also have it professionally "permanently" straightened with the Japanese method in a salon - expensive, lasts about 6 mo. and then you'll need root touchups.

Get a trim for those damaged ends. Then because you like to straighten be sure to condition, even hot oil every other week or so. Always use a heat protection before applying any heat even blow drying. This stuff can be a little too oily so apply it in sections and use it sparingly. When you are finished spray lightly with an oil sheen spray.

i would go to a hair salon and get it deep conditioned. let me nurse your hair back to health, believe me, i've gone through the same thing, make sure you keep your hair greased and washed, especially if you're using something that has alcohol in it, also try Liv, or Perfect Results products, they work good too

I think it is best to get it professionally straightened. It is supposed to last for a while and will do less damage than what it sounds like you are doing. You should also try rubbing coconut oil in your hair. It is very good for your hair and will help get it back in shape. You can find it in many Indian (Asian) stores. I like to do it the night before I am going to wash my hair and sleep with it (put a towel or something on your pillowcase).
