No offense why do black people or african americans have diff hair?

i mean we all know its diff. but what is it that makes it that way. is genes or what?

Different hair from whom? Your question assumes there are only two types of hair. There's not. Latinos don't have hair like whites. Asians don't have hair like whites. And if you look within all the racial and ethnic groups, there are different types of hair among people from each group. That's partially because everyone in the US is racially and ethnically mixed.

I don't think anyone really knows the answer to why hair textures differ. Could be genes, although many social scientists who study and research race seem to not think that's the answer because they think race is a "social construct," i.e. we make up race and it's not biological. Not saying I buy this. Another theory is because different races come from different environments, i.e. it's hotter in Africa than Europe, and that affects hair and skin.

"or what"

thats what makes it different

No offense why do black people or african americans have diff hair?

duh. genetics.

No offense why do black people or african americans have diff hair?

IT'S BECAUSE OF GENES...

ever saw a white girl w/

RED, BLACK/BRUNNET %26amp; BLONDE HAIR?!

.DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...again it's GENES.

Not all black people have nappy hair if that's what your getting at. As a matter fact, several people in my family have beautiful hair. To be quite honest, there's nothing wrong with having natural a.k.a. nappy hair. Our hair is like it is because it is in our genes. Just like white people have naturally blonde or brunette hair.

i don't think we need to jump down this person's throat.

the texture of your hair is determined by the shape of your hair shaft, and people of different backgrounds (which of course includes genetic differences) have different shaped hair shafts, which is why some people have curly hair, straight hair, tight curls or kinks, etc.

Due to a mix of backgrounds, not all african-americans have the same shape hair shaft of the same type of hair (same with whites, asians etc.)
