no, use good moisture products not alot of grease. dont use chemicals, dont perm. trim the ends often so they dont split. try using a hot oil treatment every two weeks. dont wash too much either that will strip it.

Don't put alot of grease on your hair, just enough to keep it moisturized, if you do you'll drown your hair basically. Don't relax or perm your hair, try flat ironing or pressing it. And not to often, keeping it in braids helps also. Also try Dr. Miracles products and Pantene's shampoo and conditioner for women of color.

Hey. I'm white and we spend alot of time trying to get the oil OUT of our hair, but I would really recommend olive oil. I use olive oil treatments several times a month to repair damaged ends.

Sorry I couldn't be more help....

All hair grows differently, especially African hair. So you cannot change the length of time needed for it to grow long. The reason why African hair takes longer to grow out than it would a white person's hair is because your hair is much more suseptible to breakage. You might want to get it hydrated with conditioners, I don't think hair grease will work. You'll want conditioners to prevent breakage and pray for the best.
