My scalp is very sensitive. I tried all kins of relaxers, even the one for sensitive skin, but I still end up with chemical burns. I have a prescrition for some very expensive shampoo to treat my condition, but I can't afford that. I wanted to know if there were any other alternatives.

Seborrheic dermatitis can be quite a bummer, dear. However, I have some suggestions: The type you have is in your scalp I'm assuming. Why are you relaxing your hair anyway? That's a recipe for disaster! There are shampoos that are over the counter you can try. Some contain salicylic acid (Scalpicin), selenium sulfide (Selsun Blue), or zinc pyrithione (Head and Shoulders). You can use those twice a week. Shampoos like Neutrogena T-Gel have coal tar in it and you can use that up to three times a week. You can find these at your local Walgreen's (shameless plug). Good luck and see your dermatologist on the regular!
